Born in São Paulo in 1960, Ivani Ranieri graduated in Fine Arts from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FASM). He improved his engraving techniques at the Scuola Lorenzo Di Médici in Florence and at the Scuola Internazionale di Gráfica in Venice.
Post-graduated in Watercolor also at FASM, for 17 years she taught printmaking and watercolor at the same University.
Since 1991, he has been organizing and directing courses in Watercolor and Engraving for groups of Brazilians and foreigners at Scuola Internazionale Di Grafica Venezia.
Today, in partnership with the Atelier Bottega del Tintoretto, it runs the courses "I Colori di Venezia", "Colori Veneziani in Toscana", "Colori 2018".
Since 1993, he has been taking courses in watercolor and engraving in his own studio. In addition, he participates in exhibitions in Brazil and other countries.
For Ivani, watercolor is more than a technical painting process: it is a spiritual action. Those who are dedicated to the technique have a different posture because they are involved with water and transparencies. Portraying cities, landscapes, transforming the real look into painting, abstracting form, extracting the essence of what is seen, are part of his poetic representation.
